Friend's House for Dinner
-Jorian Hill, Viognier, Santa Ynez, 2005 (good)
-Domaine Ostertag, Riesling Fronholz, Alsace, 2006 (excellent. superb acidity, bone-dry, very pure apricot flavor and orange zest)
-Samsara, Pinot Noir, Melville Vineyard, 2004 (okay, big, showing a bit of Volatile Acidity and showing too much alcohol)
-Samsara, Pinot Noir, Melville Vineyard, 2005 (better than the 2004, more integrated, fresher fruit character, still very big and brooding for Pinot.)
-Long Meadow Ranch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa, 1999 (had been opened for a couple days, was still showing beautifully. Older-school Napa style, more austere and refined in style. A lot of finesse and elegance.)
