Sparklers

San Guiseppe, Prosecco, Italy
Varichon & Clerc, Brut, Savoie, France
Avinyo, Cava Brut, Spain
Avinyo, Cave Brut Rose, Spain
Torley, Gala, Hungary

Pali, Pinot Noir, The Bluffs, Russian River, 2007
Fresh, clean, crisp acidity. It had an underlying vegetal/green quality which I'm assuming indicates the youthfulness to the vines, rather than the phenolic ripeness of the grapes. All in all, it was pure and thoroughly enjoyable.

Modus Operandi, Vicarious, Napa, 2006
Great wine, still tight. It showcases a lot of fruit right now and a dusty Rutherford-esque tannin. I hope for it to develop depth and layers as it matures.

Altamura, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa, 2002
Very good, not flashy, just awesome structure, great depth and purity, fleshed out texture, however it lacked length big time. It had a lot of softness to it, almost remindful of Merlot.

Chateau Boswell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Beckstoffer Vineyards, 2005
This is just a great wine. I've it 3 times recently and it continues to impress. Perhaps one of the best Cali Cabs under $100.

Some Gavi di Gavi
This was lean and good.

Allegrini, Plazzo del Torre, Valpolicella Ripasso, 2005
Awesome wine. It's just dependable and good, not anything new or boundary breaking, but just good.
